Originally from Michigan, Lacie moved
to Raleigh in 2003. She began working at Phoenix in 2006 and has been tattooing for over 17 years in Raleigh. In 2012 she took over The Phoenix and has dedicated herself to making it a shop where everyone can feel welcome. Lacie loves tattooing portraits and black and gray realism, but enjoys the variety that every customer has to offer. |

Brian Harris is a Durham native who has been tattooing in the Raleigh area since 2001. Also a DJ, avid gardener and vintage book lover; he has a special interest in doing music related, garden/plant, woodcut/etching, and literary tattoos. His influences include '60s and '70s concert posters and album art, antique catalogue line-engraved illustration, Victorian Art Nouveau, Pop Art, and Art Deco. Paul started his tattooing career in late
1994 by serving an apprenticeship at Tradewinds Tattoo in Toms River NJ. Early in 1996 he left to cut his teeth at a busy street shop in Pt. Pleasant NJ, Tattoo City. After a year or so, Paul split his time from 1997 - 2008 between Tradewinds and Tattooville in Linden NJ. Paul moved to Raleigh NC in 2008 and a year or so later he helped build and open Double Deuce Tattoo in Cary NC tattooing there for about 5 years. Always striving to learn, grow, and improve he took a chair at Fair Trade Tattooers in Clayton NC until May of 2016 where he joined the talented team at Phoenix Tattoo. |

Steve picked up art at an early age and was encouraged by his mother to paint. After winning several art awards in High School, he went on to get his Associate's degree in the arts in college. He started tattooing in 1995 and has tattooed and guest spotted in numerous shops all over the world. He has worked in Detroit, DC, the Canary Islands, Hawaii, Canada, North Carolina, and London, to name a few. He has worked with many well-known and famous artists along the way, with whom he was able to swap artistic styles and strategies in mutually beneficial ways. He is originally from Garner, NC, and decided to come back to make his home in the Raleigh area.
His specialties include black and gray realism, Japanese, portraiture, traditional, cover-ups, and very large custom pieces. He almost exclusively draws directly on the body to ensure a unique and custom fit for each person's tattoo. His favorite things to tattoo are realism, portraits, and pin-ups. |
